You can only hear the fan if you put your ear to the case. I did some reading and found that the Macbook Air was quiet. I first purchased an Asus U31F which I found had a noisy fan which was a distraction. I was looking for a light laptop that I could use for office based work. It was replaced under warranty luckily as it would have cost $89 otherwise. And secondly, the power adapter failed after one year. Firstly, marking on the screen from the keyboard. Nothing in the fully functioning machine, though I have had two problems with this since purchase. Have had two problems with it since purchase - marking on the screen and a failing power adapter, but as far as the function of the computer goes, it gets top marks.īrilliant keyboard excellen. However, coming from a rather dodgy old laptop to a brand new 11" Air (purchased in March 2012) anything would seem fantastic by comparison. It seems to be simpler than the windows XP system that I was on. It took a little while to get used to the operating system as it was my first mac, but it has been worth the effort. Lightweight, compact, has enough power for what I want

Overall a great little laptop, sure its pricey but most Apple products are. The backlit keyboard is handy for using the MBA in bed at night whilst my partner is sleeping and the keyboard is not noisy, so that keeps me out of trouble when I'm tapping away at midnight. I used to take my iPad with me when I travelled, now I take the MBA as its not much bigger or heavier and its more convenient to use than the iPad. The 11" MBA can stream HD movies via airplay to my Apple TV3 with no issues, no overheating, it can run all of my software and it has decent battery life.

Now my MacBook Pro is sitting gathering dust as the MBA does everything I need it to do and it more. Read more ndle web surfing and watching movies etc, but I have been more than surprised. I expected the MBA to be a great little netbook, with enough power to ha.

I have owned the my 11" MBA for around 2 years now, and like all of the Apple products I own its never given me any problems, it just keeps on working. If Apple made an iFridge we would probably have one of those too :) So it was an easy decision to buy the Macbook Air, I didn't need to be convinced, no research, I just bought it. I'm a bit biased when it comes to Apple products, in our home we have iMac's, MacBook pro, Apple TV, iPhones and even an Apple wireless router.
